NON ESD Tables and Chairs

Wood and metal are the best materials for non-ESD tables because they don’t generate unlike materials such as plastic. ESD chairs work by discharging static charges to ground. Static charges can’t discharge through plastic or other insulative materials. If the chair is on an ESD floor, static charges flow from the chair through the flooring material to ground. On a non-conductive floor, both the chair and person are isolated from ground.
